I picked up a NGC Au58 PL Twenty Cent coin the other day. Is anyone else out there looking for graded PL coins that are not Morgans? I would love to see them as I think they are not that common. Jim
Depends on the coin and whether or not they call it PL. PL 1875 and 1876 twenty cent pieces aren't that uncommon. Why? Because the first thousand or so coins from a brand new freshly polished die will likely be PL. On most series those get lost in the huge number of coins made but when you have a very low mintage like these twenty cent piece the percentage of PL coins compared to the total number of coins is much higher than for other series.
