Double Die I know just enough to be dangerous

Since there's a price on it of only $22, I'm gonna say it is not worth sending out to be graded. You'll spend more in postage than its total worth.

It appears to be a decent coin but I don't think it would be worth sending it in and get it graded, but wait for others who's knowledge goes beyond mine. Lol

    I never heard of a Closed 3
Maybe it's a name the person who owned it made up.

It is priced right at $22, so I would not send that in to be graded.
I'd say, raw, it is only worth around $24-25 (according to the Red Book).

Yes, there was a small quantity of closed 3 on that year 3 cent piece, same as the Indian Head cent that year. If as many people collected the 3 cent piece as IHC, the value should be much higher as only about 1/1000th were closed 3. The price is correlated with the population in the IHC series. Nice series to collect and a good beginning coin. Jim
