Sometimes of course it is really obvious, but other times it just escapes me. For example: i have an 1874-S quarter labelled ANACS AU - Cleaned net EF. On the other hand i have an 1841 O quarter, ANACS AU.&nbsp; Well, the 1841 O looks cleaned to me, even if the slab does not mention it, and the 1874 -S has a nice brown patina, i never would have thought it had been cleaned.
