Seems like it was over-exposed in the seller pics for sure. I think Eduard's photos show a much more wholesome coin. Killer variety and I bet in hand it looks fantastic. Well done!
I figured the coin was more brown than the first images. That was just the lighting used. I don't think it was cleaned or that little hit on the rim matters. I feel it would straight grade at 55 or 58. Nice coin.
Thanks all for your comments. The coin was not a cherry-pick and at $300 certainly not a bargain either. All in all I think it is a nice example of this interesting and popular type, and will definitely keep it.
