Here are a couple of threepences that may or may not be something special - the TPG also may have had an issue:

This is a question possibly oriented to specialists, LOL

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Well, they are Maundy coins. These usually come with a PL or semi-PL surface. First one appears to have some clashing, which is common on smaller coins. Nothing immediately jumps out as unusual on them, although I'm not a specialist.

Well, in short I will tell you that is not the case ( they are not Maundy).

Well, in that case then I have no idea!

Here’s a hint: one you will not find even in ESC, but there is something similar about these. Nebulous enough?

Ooh, was one of them secretly made by the Franklin Mint? ;)

Haha, just teasing, of course. I have no idea, I'll have to let a specialist answer.

I was hoping more would take an interest in this post, but such is life.

Anyway, these two coins are what Davies has under his catalogue #1285, but not known in proof. No Maundy were struck of this type, and neither is of Maundy type either. FYI to those that are reading both are considered in the English system to be at least R6, and NOT by me.

Just saw this and I love them but not a specialist. The second one being prooflike made me think Maundy as well. Very cool.

Really more than prooflike, at least according to DNW, etc.
