1864 2 cent!

    Hey.. I found this laying around and was curious what’s it worth?

    Looks to be in pretty good condition, might be able to get $40-$50 for it, nice.

    JeffC Go explore something and think a happy thought!

    You can check eBay for "1864 2-cent piece" and filter under "SOLD." You can then compare the photos of those sold with yours to get an approximate price. Those with a legible "WE" in the center of the ribbon usually would fetch more money.

    you say this as though you just found this in the couch cushions. If I has stuff like this just “laying around”. I’d keep looking around.

    that being said, I’d say it’s around a $30 coin. +/- $10

    Not bad for what I can see in the photos. It’s a common date so I would think about $20.00.

    The photo has been taken from an odd angle. It looks like a Good which on the Grey Sheet for $14 to $15. Expect to be paid 10 to 25 % less than that because collectors think they should able to buy them for that.
