I was wondering why PCGS was giving my toners such low or details grades, I thought there was actually a problem with the coins, now I realize it's just the grading company! I'll definitely be sending some coins to NGC, but my only worry is that they won't sell for as much as PCGS coins.

Maybe PCGS is admitting what everybody already knows- that toning is corrosion and are grading them accordingly. Doesn't really matter anyway, they are not setting the price of toners with the grades and the toning premium will make up the difference.

I think a lot of coin buyers are realizing NGC is doing a better job pcgs has been holder ing a bunch of pure crap too as well as detailing coins for no reason. I've seen more good problem free coins in the new shaded blue pcgs slabs being detailed for qc altered surface or cleaning when there's no question at least in my and other experienced people that there's no problem
