Unfortunately, buffing a coin until it's bright and shiny does not improve it
It's possible your coin was once mounted as a pendant or other jewelry (rim indentations).

 

Good eye on the rim indents. And that would make sense why it was shined up.

Coin has way too much wear to grade AU-also heavily cleaned in the past. Highest I can come up with is a VF20-25 on a good day.
