    497,000 mintage 1000 proofs
    There are two repunched dates known one in BS one in proof.
    Scarcity BS are very scarce in circulated grades. Very Scarce in mint state through ms 64,and rare in MS 65 and above.
    1861 is type lll obv. And rev.
    The repunched is an 1861/1 the repunched is seen below the second 1.
    I don't see any evidence of a repunch on your specimen .

    61s are the most common of the type 3s. Frequently used as the type coin if your set includes the 3 types.

    Many were never issued (not a huge demand for 3c after 1853) in the great mint meltings of 1873/1874.
