1861 Confederate Half Dollar

    Can anyone tell me anything about this 1861 Conf. Half Dollar?

    Welcome to CT. You have a cast reproduction of a pattern coin from the CSA. I believe there are only 4 originals known. There were re-strikes later on but this does not appear to be one of those. The "coin" you have looks to be a cast replica, likely sold as a souvenir.

    Cheap copy of a coin originally struck under the Confederacy. I believe 4 or 5 originals, and some restrikes made a decade later or so. Yours is cast, so no real value.

    Welcome to the neighborhood. Too bad that isn’t genuine. That would be the numismatic find of the century. But yes as stated, a cast souvenir shop copy.
