Just a heads up, I was bidding on it but I already have one, great Lincoln history! Mine is not as nice as the one for sale, but still good enough for me. The bidding got too high for me, after all it would have been a duplicate! Mine is below! :D

I don’t know anything about them. What’s the general value of yours vs the eBay one?

DDO you have any history on this token? It’s really neat looking. Now I want one.

Got mine last year sometime, a little under $150. The one on ebay may sell for a little over $200 or very close to it as I haven't seen any for sale since last year. Except the one Apmex is trying to sell for several hundred! The seller spelled "political" incorrectly, I doubt that was intentional but that's why I bidded on it in the first place, thought I could get it cheaply but I was wrong! :shame:

Lincoln supporters Token, here's a link from wiki as they seem to have the most information on it! :D

I would wait to buy a better one, if it's in your budget. These tokens come nice.

Here is another one with silver plating.

The Wide Awakes were a Republican Party marching unit that was strong in the Northeast during the 1860 presidential campaign. They held large torch-light parades that attracted large crowds. They carried lighted lamps on poles, and wore capes to protect their clothing from the spillage. Sometimes they marched in a zig-zag pattern, like a fence rail, which referred to their candidate, Abraham Lincoln, the railsplitter.

I paid a strong price for the first one in copper, which looks better in person than it does in the photo. I bought the second one back in the 1990s for a lot less than $100.

I thought you may have one, both really nice examples! I've never come across a silver plated one, must be rare! :D
