There's some luster but not what I would consider enough to be Au. That's why I posted the thread to get an idea what others thought about this specimen. I'm in the Xf. Range on this one. When I post what I gave for it you're going to think I stole it. When the guy quoted the price I was like sure np.
I'm right with you on grade. Nice honest coin, and I'd be pretty happy (and well in the black) to get it for $75.
And he enjoyed every minute ...... Couldn't believe as wasn't sure but was thinking that this coin would be in at least the $100 price range. Now checking trends it's a tad bit higher then that! I'm guessing not a lot of takers on these, but I clean out anyone's inventory on coins this grade and price.
Up at the flea market : i would label this as xf-au) at a tpg i would expect xf45 unless, the grader got lucky last night. Is it just me or are you like the king of getting something for nothing. I vow, to one day, be half the deal finder you are!
Car sales men run when I walk into the show room! Of course the opposite way..... Sometimes you get lucky....others ya don't , just had a good streak lately . I'm sure it won't last long.... Probably the March madness and the luck of the Irish ....come April 15 things won't be looking that good....and the coin budget will hit the wall.
