1858 flying cent w/ possible misplaced digit?

    I do believe you are correct about the anomaly being raised. However, I also believe the cause to be displaced metal, the result of some sort of hit/damage "inside" said anomaly. Of course I am not going to win any awards for exceptional eyesight either. ;)

    I do think you may be right as I said it just isn't shaped like the 8 in the date .
