    questions ??? is the date on the edge of the coin ? also curious as to what grade your coin is ?

    The date is behind Victoria. It is in Roman numerals. MDCCCLVII

    That's a nice example I had several before I sold most of my British coins. If you like the gothic style some of the British India Rupies have it as well.
