My son came across this semi-key date 10 centimes and was curious about the grade. We both put it at F12 (catalog value of $18). Thoughts?
More concerned with the grade than the selling price. It'll go in the boy's binder but we try to label as accurately as we can.
This is what the coin should look like - https://www.google.ca/imgres?imgurl...LnWAhXITSYKHagnAn0QMwhLKBswGw&iact=mrc&uact=8 Given that, and all the wear on yours, I'd put yours at more like G6.
Searching through cgb's site is usually pretty useful. You can search for this coin, by grade, and find many at lower and higher quality than yours. Here's an example that seems very close, to me, at TB(fine)-20: http://www.cgb.fr/dix-centimes-napoleon-iii-tete-nue-1855-rouen-f-133-20-tb20,fmd_077502,a.html
Thanks for ththe link...will need to brush up on my French (I know how to ask for a glass of wine...). Really informative site.
