    Btw Paddy, don't you mean the closure of TWO mints as well as the capture of another?

    I agree it was an extremely important decade for US coinage, (as well as all of the "other" stuff going on). We started the decade with huge cents and proved the public would accept cents of almost no value, just as an example.

    Bill the 57 & 61 SLQ are really sweet! As well as that blue fish scale two thumbs up! Love the shield lines clash on the III, Check the denticals on that 1857 something hidden there? Below the 8,
