    Hi
Here are pictures of my 1855 Large One Cent with slanted 5's. Pretty main stream. I was looking at the pictures and it appears, to me at least, that metal "flowed" between the feet of the "T" and "Y" in "Liberty" on the obverse. I can't see any evidence of a knob on the ear because of the wear. On the other hand, from the pictures I've seen of the "knob on ear" variety of this year, there is always this "flow" of metal that sometimes involves the "R", sometimes goes farther up on the "Y" but always seems to involve flowing between the feet of the "T" and the "Y", like I think mine shows.

Am I seeing things that aren't there? What do you think? eBay #181 - 1855 Large One Cent - Slanted 5's - Obverse - Hi Rez.jpg

    Thanks!

No pareidolia. I see the knob as well. Nice example!
