1854-O Quarter - Hurt My Heart

BTW, I looked at this piece with my old detectorist and relic hunter’s eyes, and my only impression was positive (“hey, what a cool find- I wonder what stories it could tell”), rather than the negative impression I’d have gotten as a mainstream collector (“hurt my heart”, as Randy said in the title).

They’re entirely different schools of thought. Different categories. I judge love tokens and interesting coin jewelry the same way: in a separate context from mainstream collector coins.
