1854 1/2 Penny DDO?

    I was reviewing my submissions for PCGS and I believe this 1/2 Penny is a DDO. I could be wrong. I don't think its machine doubling.

    if you look at the sides and the numbers in 1854, the words around the rim and the lower part of the ear.

    Do the british even document DDO's for their coins. is it something PCGS or NGC would attribute on label?

    No, I'd say that in general trivial manufacturing errors are of no special interest. I have no idea what a US slabbing co. would make of it but from the snippets shown it appears to be EF.

    Varieties such as overdates where the die has been altered are listed, but I really cannot see anything unusual about your coin apart from its being well preserved.
