this one looked pretty decent for the price. $55 I was thinking EAC grade of 35 or xf grade from the big grading spots.
yes it has a little bit but i believe it will come off wit a bit of acetone and verdicare. Not irreversible yet.
Did you do the attribution? I bought the book U.S. Cents 1840-1857 by Grellman and tried to do attributions on my set. After 2 or 3 attempts I quit. Many of the PUP's have disappeared by the time a coin is graded XF. Some day I'll take a deep breath and give it another try.
yes I did the attribution. Easy one as it has all 4 digits repunched to the left. It is challenging at times to use that book and try your hand at it.
Hmmm, maybe I should take some VERY good images of my Braided Hair Large Cents and post them a few at a time in here and get some help ID'ing the variety. And also my Braided Hair Half Cents. All those coins are in slabs so polishing the slabs and doing the best camera work that I can should help.
