Are you looking to get rid of it, it's estimated value is around 25$$

  5. To me, it looks like it had some damage (porous surfaces) and the damage causing substance was mostly removed. I am no expert, but just my opinion.

I would net it at VF because of the corrosion and the cleaning. Still has some nice details.

Thanks for your thoughts, I know cleaning it this way was taboo but I wanted to give it the chance to discolor again naturally without all that thick patina. Perhaps some day my kids or grandkids can sell it but I have no desire to get rid of it.

What did you clean it with hawk?

"What did you clean it with hawk?"

A light rubbing with fine steel wool to remove the big stuff then Bar keeper's friend and a soft tooth brush for the hard to reach areas. There are a few tiny spots I missed but I won't subject it to any more torture.
