Do you think it received a grade?
If so, what do you think the assigned grade is?
    What would you grade it?

VF details? That rim gouge looks deep.

    I`d say VF20.

Don't know if it got a grade and what is it.

I don't like the obverse much: rim ding at 11:30, funky surfaces. Reverse looks good (with a minor rim issue that I wouldn't mind if not for the obverse issues). I would guess Fine details, damaged (or maybe cleaned). If, by some chance, I'm wrong and it straight graded, then F15.

I'm thinking it's a trick question, so yes it graded clean at vf20

    Trick is planchet flaw

I'll go with VF details but I like @KoinJester 's idea.

I'm at f-15. My thinking planchet flaw as well. If not than fine details. Not sure what gen pcgs holder it is it could easily be vf-20 but lately their grading a coin like this fine. Though a lot of that is strike weakness and worn obverse die

IMO, the coin is Fine-15 with a cut in the rim (not planchet flaw). Nevertheless, I think it got straight graded as a VF-20 and that should be criminal!

VF-20 and I bet it straight graded.

Any other opinions? The obv rim issue is indeed a hit and not a planchet flaw.

If you look at the hit/cut, you can see raised metal on either side. That is evidence that this is NOT a planchet flaw.

There is also an old cleaning, but the surfaces can be considered market-acceptable.

Details look VF-30. If it straight-graded, then it should have been net-graded to VF-20 or so. I would personally put this in a VF details slab. That rim cut is very deep and distracting.

Net graded to F15 or VF details. There are plenty of circulated seated dollars with grades and trashed rims.

Having the advantage of examining the coin up close with a halogen light, I am confident that it has not been cleaned. Just the expected circulation marks.

F15, and IMHO the obverse does not look strictly original to me
