1843 seated liberty one dollar

    Just looking at the rim on the reverse it looks fake. Eagles beak and liberties nose doesn't look right. The overall look is wrong.

    I purchased one in better condition than the one you are posting. It cost me $42.00 + $4.00 shipping. I was very pleased. Pass, in my opinion. Be safe not sorry, good luck

    If real, it has had its original surfaces stripped. It could be fake, it has a porous look to it and the rev. is weak. I would not buy it. Here is my real one for comparison.

    After looking at enough Seated coinage, and 1800s US coinage in general, you get a feel for whether a coin looks real or not.

    I wouldn’t touch this one with a 10 foot pole.
