The last photos you posted show areas of the field near the edge that just don't look like they were made at the US mint. Look at the field ablve AM of AMERICA on the reverse and look at the fields just inside of the denticles on both sides. The marks above AM are not normal for a mint product. Do they look like filing marks on the coin in hand? I would expect there should be some mint luster somewhere in all those hidden areas between the denticles & the devices. Based upon the photos all I can see in those areas is dull mottled field identical to the field areas that are not protected. This just looks strange & it makes me think "fake". I'd guess that it might be a struck fake from Asia. Don't go throwing away the coin or accusing anyone of selling you a fake. This is just my opinion based upon the photos (which you say are bad photos). It could be genuine with all the surfaces so over-dipped and cleaned that it just appears fake to my eyes. However, look at the field between the staff & Liberty's shoulder. Look below the 4 in the date. Do you see roughness in these field areas or is it just me? You should also inspect the edge & compare the reeding to other seated half dollars. Also, you should weigh the coin and measure the diameter.
