I was able to narrow down which hard times token this one is. It's either HT-33 or HT-A33. The difference is that one has beads for denticles, and the other one has regular denticles, respectively. But, looking at examples online, it's difficult to tell what beaded denticles look like.

    Here's my example:

This one is HT-33 w/ beads:

This one is graded and identified as an HT-A33. The beads sort of morph into denticles, even though it's described as not having beads:

Can you tell which one is my example? Thanks in advance!

Or maybe I'm missing a descriptor for this token, and there are more differences to the C variant than merely beaded vs. regular denticles.

That's right! The donkey's ear touches the I in IN on mine. Thanks!

I'm not sure but I suspect these two varieties are both from the same die pair with the A33 being a later stage after teh die has badly rusted and then been extensively polished to remove a lot of the rust. And in the process it severely weakened much of the lettering and removed part of the donkeys ear.
