Is that the actual color of the coin?

I want to XF details, but it might be AU details - can't get past the color.

I love that color actually but I don't think it's natural. It looks like I see luster and think maybe AU.
But that date looks small for the coin and I dont think that that is the right head for that date is it?

 

Yes - this is a classic head half cent.

 

1809-1836 they used the classic head for half cents.

interesting color. the kind of piece id like to see in hand.

 

Can't get past the color but I would grade it AU something.

 

hmmm, almost an olive green patina on the coin. I really like it, even if the color is...off. I'd call it high AU IMO probably 55 or 58.

The color detracts from hits and gives more eye appeal.

At first I thought this was a gold coin. lol
The color just throws me through a loop!
Assuming that is exactly what the coin looks like, those are pretty good pictures as well.
I'd go with AU, and I'd be surprised if somebody at a TPG were to grade the coin.

 

I like that one much more.

 

The second coin was boinked, too.

 

Agreed - something just not seem right about that color combination.
