I absolutely love this coin. 1835 N-16 Head of 1836. The best part is that I only paid $60 for it. Acetone lifted a layer of green off it and revealed soft, even luster (although the reverse luster is stronger than the obverse). I grade it AU58. However, there are minor issues. A few spots, a couple rim ticks, and some sort of inexplicable damage on the reverse from RI of AMERICA to the NT in CENTS. It's almost as if it is "as struck" because you would think a hit that heavy would have affected the color in that area or even bent the coin, yet there are no other effects of that "hit." The coin lies flat. I know the TPG's are lenient with early copper, but all these little issues may make this a details coin, and a waste of my money. What do ya think?
