    I'm not much of a fan of the toning on it. Then again, I don't like any toning at all. I would still take it if someone gave it to me though :)

    OP said semi-PL ... would NGC give that designation PL on such old coinage?

    I dunno. On coins like this I think personal taste plays a large part, could go either way.
