Hi all, I'm curious about what you all think about the value of my 1829/7 50c piece. I'm thinking $140-150? (based on what I'm seeing here: http://www.pcgscoinfacts.com/Coin/Detail/6155 and here: http://www.usacoinbook.com/coins/2543/half-dollars/capped-bust/1829-P/9-over-7/) Does that seem accurate?
Not my area of expertise, but F12 list at 80-100 on the Heritage site. No idea how the color will affect it. There are a number of bust half people floating around on CT, so maybe they can provide a more accurate assessment
Hard to tell thru the holder. Do you own it? Can you take it out of the holder? From what I see, if it was mine, I'd grade it a F-12. However, that depends on the 'look' and as I see it, it doesn't look very attractive
Yea, I can take it out and snap some photos later tonight and upload. Thanks all for your help. FYI I got it for $65 so I'm feeling pretty ok about it so far.
If that little nub is the 7 (I honestly can't tell/don't know). It's around $100. I agree with the F-12.
Never hold coins like this in your barehands. Get some cotton gloves. Sorry, not trying to be rude but pics like this make me cringe!!
