Can anyone identify this Newcomb variety?
Feel free to snag it. If you feel the need.
I have been helping some of the coin posters lately on the new App sites.

Obv is based on 1827 N-4 & 5 but the date font and spacing is wrong (No 1827 uses a 2 like that), rev appears to be 1832 N-1. The leaf point under the second S in STATES is SPC (Slightly Past Center), ALL of the 1827's range from Slightly Past Right to Very Far Past Right. None of them have that leaf point to the left of the right edge of the S.

I had messaged the guy telling him that something looked wrong, and why would he sell a 300$ +coin for less than half. Thanks for the confirmation @Conder101

A counterfeit that could easily fool a newer collector.

He still hasn't responded, and luckily no one has been fooled yet.

I've see that 2 before on another type coin before but it wasn't a cent piece. Not real. Sorry.was thinking of the 1823 half dollar. But bottom of 2 different. Damn thought i was right for once.

This coin is on it's way to ANACS. Thanks to your help. It isn't for sale until verified.
