What do you think it would grade?
Is it worth sending to be graded?
Thanks for your comments and grade.

Nice coin. VF20, cleaned. It's worth about $125. Grading will cost about $50. How much do you have into the purchase cost? Add the two numbers together. I don't think grading it will increase its value.
My opinion; Put the coin into an inert plastic flip. Take the coin out from time to time. Hold it in your fingers. Look at it. Enjoy it. Share it with other like minded individuals.

The die marriage is common, the O-107. Note the first T in STATES is tilted left.

Possibly lightly cleaned, but a nice look to it. I would happily own it. Really not worth the cost of certification, at least not by the Big Two companies. IMHO

Not worth the grading fees. The coins value is to low as it’s a VF-20.

It will grade somewhere around VF-30, unless it's been hairlined from cleaning. It's got a dull look, which makes one think of baking soda, although it could be "market acceptable."

Excellent comments and many thanks for the good advice.

    I had it at VF-20

It hasn’t been touched in over 50 years, part of a family’s loose change,
can’t really call it a coin collection.

If you collect coins it’s in a coin collection now. :)
