Coming in the following weeks. Until then pictures will have to suffice. This is my first of this series and also the oldest coin ive ever had. Cant wait to see her! I was told the variety is O-109a or 0-114 from what I am hearing. It has a fat first 1 on the obverse and the 81 are close. Also die crack on reverse. I am not hugely familiar with this series so id love to hear comments and learn all I can. I know this is a pretty coin though.

It sure is pretty. What do you know about this series that lead you to choose this one?

I don't know this series but wanted a decent looking example. It was sparked when I saw one I liked in a coin store but it was a problem coin not worth buying. I started searching and found this one. A dealer posted it on Instagram and I grabbed it. I mostly collect $2.5 gold Indians but am branching out.

Very nice looking coin. The only examples I have in this series are in my Dansco 7070.

More of an O-114. Look at star#1 and see the recutting (two extra points).

Wow. To me that's double what I'd pay. But hey, color + CAC + old holder + early date is nice.

That's a really strong price. At the same time you pay for pretty.

The CAC bean is what gives sellers permission to charge more.

Bust half dollars with nice color just keep going up. The collector base for Bust coins must be growing as well.
