What is going on with the rim on the upper left obverse? Struck slightly off center? Anyone help with Sheldon #? G-4 or so? Fair price?[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

In G-4 it should be around $80.00. Yours is worn 9which accounts for the way the rim looks) and a large scratch across her face. I would estimate your coin to be in the $50.00 range.

I want to say S-285, but no expert at attributing. Looking at heritage a solid g-4 went for $69. So I really can't argue with collecting nut.

    I don't know, I'm thinking S-283. 283 and 285 are very similar.

    I'll say S-282.

On 282 the POL is below the center of A3

It is what it is as described above. You can't make it worth more because you think it's something else.

I was just curious Collecting Nut. You said it was because it was worn and Treashunt said misaligned die so information was different. Classic head cents are new to me and I have not seen many that had that rim look so I thought I would ask.

Not my thing either. It's so worn I don't see enough of the rim to say misaligned die. There are several varieties but I wouldn't know one from the other. The info. I gave you:
1810 Classic Head Large Cent-Normal Date
    Melt Value $.0531
    Mintage: 1,458,500 All Known Varieties

is based on facts. My comments are not, just my belief and experience. MAD is not going to add to the value on this coin, in my opinion. Ask Frank why he says MAD. I'd be curious myself.

I see what you are saying about the rim...certainly is a distinction between 10 and 11:30...heck, it's a great 204! year old coin.
