So I'm a bit out of my element on this one. My primary focus is on Peace Dollars, I have some older stuff, and some weirder stuff - but this goes back too far and I need some expertise and opinions.

The 1 in the date, is it PMD? Is it a mint error? And overall, I'd like opinions on the coin. I know the grade is not very good (AG/G at best?) but considering the age and where it came from (storage locker scavenger brought it to me). There is some graffiti on the obverse in the field, I haven't figured out what is written yet.

I'm happy to have it! It's the oldest US silver coin I own, and the 2nd oldest (behind my 1798 cent).

Thanks in advance for any info and opinions.

If that coin could talk and tell us how many travels it has seen in it's 200+ years of life.
