The 1806/5 O.104/T-1 die marriage is the only half dollar overdate where the obverse die was previously used. The obverse die was used on two die pairings in 1805, and the reverse was used four times in 1805. No wonder both dies quickly failed in 1806!</p><p><br /></p><p>This overdate was also the first struck of thirty die marriages for 1806, which is why Steve Tompkins called it T-1 in his 2015 book <i>Early United States Half Dollars</i>.
