Every now and then I am asked what one can do to become a coin-- dealer. collector, numismatist etc.

I tell them that all they need is a good eye, a 10X magnifying glass........

.....and 25 years experience.

 

I've heard/read that several times before from several different well-known numismatists. I'm glad to NOW KNOW who originated those "words of wisdom!"

Do you know who started "There is no Santa Clause in Numismatics?" I've stolen that one several times in the past.

Yes there is. You should see me. Bushy white hair, long white beard, fat and jolly!

 

That's what I look like although I keep the beard short until June and trim it New Years Eve.
