So when you weigh a worn gold coin that gives you the best indicator you can have of how much weight a coin actually loses due to wear. And it's very little. Just as my coin indicates.</p><p><br /></p><p>So those numbers that Winged Liberty posted are way off. Coins don't lose anywhere near that much weight from wear.
