    Dear all,

I took a break from coin buying with the pandemic, since I am trying to only buy in person from coin stores, and never online (call it a personal little ambition).

I moved to a new city (within Germany) and once the lockdown eases soon, I look forward to visiting some numismatic shops again. This got me back into coin fever, and I went over my collection. Revisiting the site, I remembered a coin that I have long ignored in my collection but (might) be worth something.
It is a coin I bought in a coin shop in Berlin 3 years ago:
    A 1805 Draped Bust Cent.

I can provide a pic with better lighting on a sunnier day, but right now the light outside is not cooperative.

So... what do you guys think it is worth?

    Best,
    Alex

Well,Hello New member ! It's not the prettiest girl on the block. But She's got Value I see. I grade about a AG-4 , maybe $60 . Not bad for a low grade . I see it has Under 1,000,000 mintage , factor the ones that have departed this earth and your looking better . Nice buy !!!

    FYI:

    It would be an AG-03.

the 4 refers to a G-4, not an AG

I'm at a solid Fair-2 on this one, likely one of the only coins in general I've seen I'm not willing to go to Poor on, or to AG on. Reverse is clearly better than the obverse.

Make sure she doesn't get any more wear please!

Age, rarity, and low grade (G4) are actually in your favor. 2021 Red Book values the coin at AG-3 $55 / G-4 $85. Welcome to CT, thanks for sharing.

Welcome to CT. A very low grade but around $35 I would think.

Sorry, I was looking at 1801 value, my mistake. 1805 is worth the same though.

    Correction :: G-4 not AG4 , :oops:

    Dear all,

    thank you!
She is safely tucked away and will see to it that now more wear comes to her.
    Best regards,
    Alex
