This lovely early US coin, which many on this forum found attractive, is apparently an ugly damaged junk coin no one will love. If you want to get the plastic changed to make a profit, go for it. PCGS VF Details, altered surfaces. Pretty amazing how everyone’s opinions of this coin changed when the PCGS gods wrote down their final verdict. VF-25 examples sell for around $1200. A cleaned-but-somehow-straight-graded PCGS VG-10 sold for $600. This example can be yours for a meager $800. That should leave you plenty of room to flip this coin when you resubmit it and get a different opinion. I’m done giving the TPGs my hard-earned money.
