1803 Half Cent Grading Help (and value)?

    I whole heartedly agree,
    I went the long way around the barn trying to explain it but got lost on the way.

    Thanks, I paid under face for the 1803 large cent in the thumbnail in my last post. Of course I found it metal detecting though.

    That is the strange thing about early copper, if you have a cleaned morgan in UNC condition people will stay away, but if you have a corroded early copper someone will still buy it. I think the OP's coin can be net graded to around a VG-08.
