Here is an old token that I picked up in May 2019. It is from the 1800’s and it is a merchant token. It is from what is now known as the Bronx New York.

The owner was Charles Rivinius and he owned a Brewery in Westchester County, in 1869 in an area that is now the Bronx. It was located at NYC East 169th street & Third Ave. it is valued at one cent. He is now buried in Woodlawn cemetery in the Bronx.

Listed in Token Guides Token Catalog #245733

    Circa 1860-1880
This a token is considered very rare.

Neat. My daughter lives on 157 near Third Avenue.
I love the old original buildings in that area. I have probably seen the location of that old brewery.
