You know, actually I have though about getting a coin like that. My plan would need to be, sell all of my current coins. Then I would have a collection of 1, but oh what a coin. Quality over quantity and quality never goes out of style. Mike
I've become quite familiar with your large cent collection from my time here and yours are nothing to be ashamed of. You have way more varieties than I ever had. My large cent collection is a basic date set.
These are very hard to find on ebay. If you are interested Check out Shawn Yancey's website, he collects 1793s and almost always has a very nice selection of them. As an added bonus he rotates his inventory pretty frequently as well: https://www.earlycoppercoins.com/Large-Cents_c_7.html
I for one would love seeing photos.. Your four examples amount to four more examples than I will ever have!! Congrats to those others here that have examples!!
Mine aren't very nice but I have three of the four chain cent varieties and one of the wreath cents. I don't expect to ever own a liberty cap but I still hope to be able to get that last chain and add a few more wreaths.
You're not truly smitten then. I would look at the Porsch and think, how many 1793s could I get for that?
You are right there, Marshall. As a matter of fact, in the town in which I live there are probably many more porsches (about 5-8 at last count) than U.S Chain Cents.
