    He is calling it a 48g - W5275 ... R1

This is exactly why I like running buys like this by some of you guys.

I was thinking about offering him 300.00 but I don't like the scuffs on the shield nor the weak 1. I think I can live with it as long as I don't over pay. Of course that's when I thought it was an R1. I haven't done near enough research.

I also haven't been to my LCS either. I may pay a tad more there but they make sure I know exactly what I'm buying. They always have my back and never done me wrong....but I don't see these listed on they're site. Not under US anyhow.

It is an R1 on the Sheldon scale, that is the most common with higher R numbers being rarer. To confuse matters, the new URS rarity scale is sometimes used, and in that one, the lower the number the rarer it is! So you have to be sure which rarity scale is being used. I just love the new Jersey coppers, but had to suspend collecting by die variety, once you get up to R5 or so, [Sheldon scale] they just get so pricy.

This is the only one I have. I believe it is a very common one.

    Ok. Thanks for the explanation.

Something tells me these will be a challenge... and ya you are right a tad pricey. These won't stack up very fast in my collection either.
