1776 continental currency coin....real or fake?

I have a 1776 Continental Currency Coin in a plastic case. I've done some research and it's passed all the real test....what do y'all think?

Looks like a cast fake because of the lack of detail and grainy surface.

 

What tests did you perform for it to pass?

 

Just my opinion, but the border seems awfully pronounced and very sharp. Looking at even an AU example online, it doesn't have that much of a border. I'd be interested in knowing what tests you performed, as well!

 

Looks fake to me, but I am hardly an expert on this era. A quick search online does reveal it is a heavily counterfeited coin.

Fake beyond a doubt. Typical souvenir type cast replica.

 

It does not look genuine, but that does not mean it has no value.

I remember these coins being common during the American Bicentennial in the mid 1970s. The coins were cast from pewter. IIRC, they are collectible to some extent, but not as valuable as a genuine example.
