I got this at one of my LCS's. For a 238 year old coin, I think ten bucks was okay. I can't tell if that's PMD on the rim, or a clipped planchett. I am not an expert and the indentation looks smooth enough, but I am not sure. What would you value it at? I think it has character. I haven't seen any Spanish Reales in this denomination before. At 10 bucks you got a very good deal. I paid 35 for a 1 Real. Nice grab!

It has a Mexico City mint mark. That's a colonial Mexican reale.

One of the LCS's I go to had it. It was in a hoard of coins he just bought and hadn't gone through all of them yet. So I asked if I could take a look and buy anything. He just wanted to see whatever I picked out first. The first time I found it, I didn't buy it. It's not one of my normal purchases. Well, when I looked online and saw that I couldn't find anyone offering them, I went back and got it. Lucky too, because it had been three weeks between the time I first saw it and bought it.
