1772 French Ecu. What's it worth?

    It's in about this shape, maybe a little better. It's got a Limoges mint mark (I).

    That is not the Limoges mint mark. That is the cow mint mark, the coin was minted in Bearn at the Pau mint. In that condition I would estimate value at around $50-$60.

    Mine is a little different, with the Limoges mint mark. I got it for $45, which is probably what it's worth.

    I guess some of the lettering on the front says that he ruled Bearn and Navarre, and France, of course.
