I decided in the end to post this here as it will probably get more views. I picked it up yesterday amongst a box full of coins and medals. 1724 Woods Halfpenny, obv 2, rev 2. Minted probably in Bristol England and intended for use in Ireland (then part of Great Britain). They proved unpopular there and were withdrawn and shipped to the new colonies in North America for use there so becoming one the earlier American coins. I hope you like! This one obviously far from perfect but the detail is clear enough, and the date is much clearer to read in hand.
