I've sold 2000 coins in last year I have superb feedback certainly isn't to drum up buisness. I had never seen one sold before and had no idea of price.
I've never had any coin checked before and never had anybody complain.
I did think about going to get checked out but nearest place would cost £50 travel etc and day off work. I have no idea if the coins worth £50 or £5000.
Thought I would list on eBay to see what interest there was. I offer full refund on return of any items purchased as eBay's rules.
If you have a reason why you think it's fake please tell me as everyone who has expressed a opinion thinks it's ok.
    Thanks for any help mark

Seeing nearly every coin I usually sell is under £20 it would probably cost more to get them checked than I sell them for. 1000s of people sell coins on eBay and I'm sure there not all experts or have them checked. I buy and sell to build my collection. Any coin I sell on eBay is fully refundable on return of item. Not that anyone has. As eBay's rules.

    Bad attitude.
The fact that the coin is unusually rare means you need to get it authenticated as genuine before selling it.
Any rationalizations about previous sales don't have anything to do with your utter disregard for proper business regarding this coin.
    Have a nice day.

As I've never had a coin which may turn out to be valuable before I don't know rules of coin selling but I do see lots of coins sold for £100s of pounds and more which havnt been certified mostly the machine mills george111 coins which I've chosen to collect I've bought quite a few over £100 myself and never received any certificate or anything else.
Because of what you say I have put on the listing that coin will be certified and graded which I will be doing on next day off I've made appointment today . I hope this satisfies you. I'm not out to try and rip anyone off everything I've sold the customer has always been happy. As I've said in previous posts only been doing Coins a year and I have no idea on rules for selling coins. Regards mark

You don`t have to get it graded, certified and slabbed, that is a US thing and waste of money.
You are selling the coin in the UK all this grading and slabbing baloney is not popular here.
You have advertised it correctly to the best of your knowledge after taking advice here.
If the buyer is not happy with it they can return it for a full refund.
I have collected and dealt in coins for over 55 years since I was a young kid, not once have I had a coin graded and slabbed and I have never bought one either.

Thanks to be honest I've got appointments with London coins and baldwins of London in next few days baldwins seems to think it could do £1000+ on photos but still wants to see coin before committing to price .theyve said they don't charge commissions on coins over£1000 so to be honest I may decide to take off eBay still undecided may even keep it for a while listed on eBay at silly price like 5000 or 10000 don't care if it's not sold if someone who's desperate for it may pay a premium as not likely another will be around for a long time.
Thanks for the positive comment as was a bit down that some people were not too happy that I was trying to sell without checking first. As I explained to them I'm new to this I don't know the rules on coin buying and selling I've never received any certificate with anything I've bought. But I suppose they've helped as will probably be sold at baldwins auction for a better price . Thanks mark
