Howdy peeps, :) I try to pick up a few 17th Century English Trade Tokens each month, to keep that part of my collection growing, and I finally bit the big one and picked up a gorgeous 1668 Joseph Phillipps Half Peny (seller's pics): O: IOSEPH . PHILLIPPS . AT . YE - A FALCON R: IN. STRATFORD . VPPON . AVON - HIS HALF PENY . 1668 This variety has I . A . P under the falcons feet on the obverse, which are the initials of the issuer (Joseph A. Phillipps). :D As I am trying to do with all aspects of my collection, I'm upgrading many of my lower grade coins when I can but I never expected to have such a gorgeous example as the one above. It makes me drool! :goofer: The seller's pics were good enough to use so I could go ahead and share this with you now instead of having to wait several weeks until it arrives. ;) Ribbit :) Ps: I've found out this is a reproduction from the 60's or early 70's. :goofer:
