doing this in 2 parts as only 10 photos at a clip can come through, also not showing obv, or rev of some as to save space.. of the 1911 nickels, the one struck through defective planchet is front and back to show not man made..all are genuine mint errors, or varieties as stated (as with die cracks) the first is the struck through, rev.
so, this was struck after the lamination, as there is details inside the area, as opposed to struck, then laminated, then there would be s blank space..either way a nice old error
well, one of the nicks said struck through defective planchet, the other said struck through, so i guess he is correct, just left off the last part?? because struck through can mean debris, grease, cloth, wire metal wire from a brush, etc..even plastic...
Not every seller knows absolutely everything about mint errors. Sometimes they are wrong. Believe me.. I know this from experience.
Nice start to an error collection. Some of those don't look like the description given. Don't believe everything you hear and only believe a small portion of what you see. There's a lot to learn in coin collecting and I've met and dealt with regular dealers on a weekly basis that were very honest and made mistakes.
